Capping Off Pipes
To ‘cap off’ a pipe, the system must first be drained of all water. Once this is completed, the pipework can be safely cut, without fear of water spraying. A plastic cap is usually placed over the exposed pipe end, and sealed with a suitable sealant. The same method also applies to gas pipes.
